A Conservative Method for a Sensational Effect

Cosmetic Bonding Bismarck

Are you embarrassed by a gap in your smile? Do your teeth have chips or stains? What if an expert dentist could correct these issues with a simple treatment that would replicate the color of your teeth perfectly?
Everett E. Heringer, D.D.S. recommends dental bonding for patients coming to his Bismarck office who would like to make relatively minor yet effective improvements to their otherwise healthy teeth.  At Bismarck’s Center for Laser and Cosmetic Dentistry, our wonderful team can guide you through this very process!

Benefits of Dental Bonding

Patients who wish to enhance the natural look of their smile are in luck! The benefits of dental bonding include:

  1. Closes gaps in the smile
  2. Utilizes tooth-colored material
  3. Repairs chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth and areas of mild decay
  4. Often, no removal of existing tooth structure necessary
  5. Completed in a single visit, whereas porcelain veneers require at least two visits
  6. Lengthens and improves shape of teeth
  7. Replaces unsightly silver fillings
  8. Long-lasting and natural-looking results

The Dental Bonding Procedure

Quick and safe, the dental bonding procedure can be performed in a single visit at our Bismarck practice. Generally, Dr. Heringer will begin by preparing or cleaning the teeth that will be bonded. He will then apply a special solution to make the enamel more receptive to the composite material that will be adhered. Next, the tooth will be coated with the composite material itself and our dentist will create the desired shape and size, so the tooth-colored bond blends beautifully with your other teeth and bite. In the last step, a light will be beamed on the bonded teeth, triggering the eventual hardening and strengthening effect.
In the event your teeth have a mild amount of decay to treat, a local anesthetic may need to be administered before the procedure. Patients with more severe decay should first consider a restorative dentistry treatment, such as porcelain crowns, or pursue cosmetic dentistry options.
