DR. EVERETT HERINGER: The Zoom! process is a very comfortable procedure. In just a few short minutes we're transforming your smile anywhere from six to eight shades or even brighter. And the way the process works is that the patient will be reclined in the chair in a very 'laxed position. The technician will isolate the lips and the gums to protect those. It's a totally isolated procedure and just your teeth are exposed. Then he'll put the Zoom! gel onto the teeth and then we'll use the Zoom! light to Zoom! to advance light to bleach the teeth or brighten the teeth. And what that does, the gel and the light combines and just kind of raises the stains, lifts the stains off from the teeth and just lightens and brightens the teeth.

Patients are very comfortable with that. Patients are listening to headphones, they're relaxed, they're watching T.V. during this whole process. And within about 45 minutes worth of Zooming, the patient's smile is transformed. The patients are wowed by it, they're excited about it and it we're excited about it, too. The patients love their smile.

There are different types of stains that they can remove. They'll remove basically all stains. There are certain stubborn stains that may take a little longer to remove like tetracycline is a little harder to remove; they're a little more stubborn. But coffee, tea stains, just your normal stains on your teeth, the Zoom! system will handle most stains but not all stains.
